    About

Love is often portrayed as a profound mystery – an essential part of life that we should feel, but not to scrutinise too closely. We’re told to embrace its magic, pursue it passionately, and let it define us. But why shouldn’t we think about love more critically? Why not challenge the myths, expectations, and societal norms that shape our deepest relationships?

This event explores our perceptions of love, and what they could be. What is the purpose of romantic love? Is marriage still a meaningful institution, or has it become an outdated ideal? What would it mean for public perceptions of love to embrace the diversity of LGBTQIA+ experiences? Has the sexual revolution empowered women, or has it left them navigating a landscape of casual relationships, objectification, and emotional harm?
